The
Focolares are core units which animate many different mass movements that likewise adhere to the spirituality of unity. Among these mass movements, there are the
Volunteers Movement which recently celebrated its international
50th Anniversary, the
Youth for a United World, the
Teens for Unity, the
Gen 4 Children's formation and
many others (mass movements in the Philippine experience).
Among the many tasks that the Church has entrusted to the Focolare are the different dialogues: to deepen the existing communion within the Catholic Church; to dialogue and establish unity with Christians of other Christian denominations, with
people of other religions, and with people of no formal religious convictions. There are also institutions for social outreach like the Bukas Palad Social Center,
Pag-asa Social Center and the
Focolare Carpentry Training Center.

Dialogue with Other Religions
One of the dialogues carried out by the Focolare Movement is the dialogue with people of other religions. The first inspiration for such initiative came when its foundress Chiara Lubich received her Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion in England. The first to greet her were people of other religions...
The Focolare has always believed that unity can be achieved... when we live that which we have in common, the Golden Rule. It is present in all religions and in the heart of every person "Do unto others what you would have them done to you".
